Prep Cook (Large Batch Meal Production) at The Prep Daddy.

Location: The Prep Daddy Kitchen - Kearny Mesa

Type / pay: Hourly - $20-25

Responsibilities

• Prepare large quantities of proteins, vegetables, rice, potatoes, and other ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
• Wash, cut, season, marinate, and portion ingredients for meal production.
• Assist with cooking, cooling, and packaging meals while maintaining consistency.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift.
• Properly label, rotate, and store ingredients using FIFO procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and notifying management when supplies are running low.
• Help with kitchen cleanup and equipment sanitation at the end of production.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, meal prep company, catering, or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under deadlines.
• Food Handler Card required (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
